Celebrate the beginning of baseball’s spring training at the Arizona Museum for Youth, beginning February 26, 2010.  Spring training has a long, lucrative, and influential history in Arizona, dating back to at least 1909.  The Arizona Museum for Youth’s upcoming exhibit, “Play Ball: The Cactus League Experience,” celebrates over 100 years of professional baseball in Arizona as it walks you through a timeline of professional baseball from those wild, wild west days before statehood to the inauguration of the Cactus League in 1947, up to present day with 14 teams scheduled to play during the 2010 spring training season.

The interactive and education exhibition will treat visitors to stories of the players, teams, and ballparks that the legendary boys of summer while working hard each spring in the desert.
