Analysis

How can the number of homes under contract in every market measured be the same as or down from last week while the active inventory in every market measured also be down??  No, we didn’t discover a time-space continuum gap in the Phoenix real estate market…sellers have begun to cancel their listings or let them expire as the winter months and holiday season approach.  This is typical for this time of year, so if you are a seller who is still on the market and does not want to give up, fear not!  No matter what the reason for the decreased Phoenix housing inventory, decreased inventory means decreased competition.  Take advantage of this time, and ramp up your efforts!  There may be slightly fewer buyers out looking right now, but those prospects who are shopping this time of year tend to be more serious than a lot of “tire kickers” in the spring and summer.
